GeneXartis is a research team created in September 2000 led by Professors Antonio Zorzano and Manuel Palacin. Genexartis is composed by more than 30 scientists and 2 managers with extensive training in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology , with a unique expertise in different aspects of Biomedicine and Biotechnology.
We are world leaders in the identification of genes responsible for the development of aminoacidurias such as cistinuria or lysinuric protein intolerance and in the understanding of the molecular mechanisms that govern glucose uptake in cells. Genexartis currently hold a portfolio of different patent files and has large experience working with all kinds of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and biotech companies.
